This week, we received a response from the University to our bargaining proposals that we passed over last Friday. You can find them attached to this email. The biggest win was a commitment to a 14-day paid sick leave for any member who contracts COVID-19 or for any member who needs to help a dependent who contracts COVID-19. This is directly the result of the membership email blasting the administration and showing our collective power, even during a pandemic.
The steering committee continues with ongoing discussions and next steps to move forward are to secure as much protection as possible for our members.
