Are you ready to strike for your contract? IMPORTANT General Membership Meeting to discuss a possible strike drive on Monday, October 29.
We have been in bargaining for almost six months and we still haven’t received a single economic proposal (wages, health care, fee waivers, tuition waivers, etc.) from the university! It’s time to start talking about what we are willing to do for a fair contract. Members will discuss and vote on whether or not we should begin organizing for a possible strike (a “strike drive”) on Monday, October 29 at 5:30pm at Jane Addams Hull-House, 800 S. Halsted. Food will be provided. All TAs and GAs are strongly encouraged to attend.

Have you written a letter to the Board of Trustees yet, letting them know you’re dissatisfied with the current state of negotiations? As the GEO goes into mediation, let the Board of Trustees know what you’re most concerned about and why y
ou feel the you and the rest of the graduate assistants and teaching assistants on campus deserve a fair contract! You can fill out the letter online at this address:
All letters will be delivered to the Board of Trustees in the Chicago area in the coming weeks. Faculty, adjuncts, and students are welcome to fill this out as well!

Be sure to “like” us on Facebook to keep up to date with all things GEO!

Show the administration that you want a contract now: bring your grading (or other work) to the lobby of University Hall this Thursday, October 18, from 12pm to 2pm. We’ll have brand new GEO t-shirts, free for all members! RSVP on Facebook at:
